DescriptionTeam members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part‑time regular or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. They may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as a representative of Regal consistent with our mission and policies, including regular attendance, handling emergency situations when required, general cleaning duties, and compliance with the company dress code.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for each position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Box Office
- Operating POS system and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons.
- Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Responding to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
Concession
- Operating POS system and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons as well as concession stock inventory.
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operating, preparing and cleaning all concession related equipment.
- Complying with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
- Abiding by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
- Ensuring alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- If the theatre sells alcohol, duties include selling/serving alcohol and meeting legal age requirements.
- Reading and understanding training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
- Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing appropriate stub, and directing patrons to their auditoriums.
- Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats in auditoriums when necessary.
- Enforcement of MPAA rating system.
- Conducting in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe quality environment.
- Reporting problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management.
- Performing in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
- Cleaning auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintaining clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium.
- Monitoring the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assisting with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Pay Scale Information: $20.77 per hour
Benefits: Free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location. Eligibility for 401(k) retirement plan with company match after 21 years of age and six months of service.

Education/ExperienceCompletion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required.
Alcohol TrainingCompletion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training and any required state or local training.
Language AbilityGood public speaking, listening, and clear response skills.
Math AbilityPerform calculations quickly, accurately, and correct errors.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather data, evaluate alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence. Perform under pressure.
Personal SkillsExcellent communication with customers, co‑workers and management. Goal setting, budgeting time, and prioritization.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, sitting, hand use, reaching, talking or hearing. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
