A growing manufacturing company is seeking a highly analytical and hands‑on Senior Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role will serve as a key business partner to operations leadership and will play a critical role in inventory accounting, product costing, manufacturing analysis, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities- Lead month‑end close activities related to inventory, standard costing, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Prepare and analyze actual vs. budget reporting and manufacturing cost variance analysis
- Maintain and improve standard costing, BOMs, overhead allocations, and inventory valuation processes
- Analyze production costs, operational efficiency metrics, and manufacturing performance trends
- Partner closely with plant operations and leadership teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities and operational improvements
- Support ERP system integrity through inventory analysis, internal controls, and coordination with production and inventory teams
- Lead excess and obsolete inventory analysis and reporting
- Assist with development of job costing and project costing processes
- Support process automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in cross‑functional initiatives designed to improve operational and financial performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience with strong cost accounting experience required
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory, standard costing, BOMs, and plant operations
- Experience with ERP systems and SQL experience a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross‑functionally with operations and leadership teams
- CPA and/or CMA designation preferred, not required
