Your Role

This position supports the Bank’s credit risk management framework through oversight of appraisal and evaluation functions, portfolio administration processes, collateral pledge programs, loan underwriting, and management reporting. The role ensures valuation activities are completed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policy while managing key operational functions that support portfolio quality, liquidity access, and sound credit decisions. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated banking environment.

  • Oversee the real estate appraisal and evaluation process for commercial banking
  • Ensure compliance with FIRREA, USPAP, Interagency Appraisal Guidelines, and Bank policy
  • Maintain approved appraiser lists and monitor independence, licensing, insurance, and performance standards
  • Manage appraisal workflow systems, vendor relationships, bids, engagement letters, revisions, and delivery timelines
  • Underwrite and prepare recommendations for credit card requests, consumer loan requests, express loan requests, and other delegated credit products
  • Approve or decline requests within assigned authority, if applicable
  • Gather, validate, and compile data for Board and other management reports
  • Manage operational processes related to FHLB collateral pledging and reporting
  • Oversee Federal Reserve BIC1 and other collateral pledge processes
  • Assist with audits, examinations, and regulatory requests
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen controls and efficiency
  • Provide backup support within Credit Administration as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You ll Bring

  • Knowledge of appraisal regulations, valuation processes, and common collateral issues
  • Working knowledge of commercial and consumer credit fundamentals, loan structure, and cash flow analysis
  • Knowledge of loan policies, banking regulations, and risk mitigation practices
  • Ability to interpret policy, identify risks, and make sound recommendations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and applicable banking systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing confidential information

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of banking, credit administration, appraisal management, underwriting, or related experience
  • Experience with commercial lending, collateral valuation, reporting, or loan operations preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a multi-line telephone, copy machine, scanner, fax, and computer printer. The employee needs to frequently communicate with internal and external contacts and move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other work areas.

  • This is a full-time, in-person position:
