About the Job:This is skilled engineering and inspection work performed in the field and office.
The work involves conducting construction inspections of a variety of public works, public utilities, and private development projects within or on behalf of the City, including public contract management duties. Successful performance requires the application of precise engineering knowledge gained through training and experience. Although advice is generally available, employees in this class are expected to exercise independent judgment in solving field and office problems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Requires high school graduation or equivalent.
- An Associate's degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction technology or related field preferred.
- Three years of experience in construction activities and/or inspection of public works, public utilities, and private development projects.
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted (corrected lenses allowed) driver license at the date of hire, and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver License within 30 days of hire.
