The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
This role requires a skilled individual with experience in MRI technology, patient care, and equipment operation.
The MRI Technologist will collaborate with healthcare teams, perform MRI scans according to established protocols, and maintain MRI equipment to guarantee safe and effective operation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient screenings and assess medical histories to identify any contraindications, such as pacemakers or metal implants.
- Prepare and administer contrast dyes for MRI procedures when necessary.
- Offer comfort and reassurance to patients throughout the MRI process.
- Position patients accurately and perform MRI scans as per physician guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of MRI equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.
- Ensure the MRI room remains clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior technologist s and assist new staff members.
- Maintain accurate records, elevate issues, and follow quality assurance protocols.
- Certification in MRI technology from an accredited program
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered care approach
- High attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- MRI certification from an accredited program
