PositionSummary
The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) works at the Everett Behavioral Health Adult Clinic. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning. The therapist coordinates with medication providers, primary care physicians, and community agencies, and may work evenings or outside the office on occasion.
Mental Health Therapist – LicensedThe Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment planning, and group facilitation. Responsibilities also extend to working with CDMHP, inpatient facilities, ensuring proper protocols for hospitalization authorization, discharge planning, and supervising other clinicians. The therapist collaborates with the Program Manager and clinical supervisor for chart reviews and ensures compliance with WACs, RCWs, and clinical contracts.
Education and Experience for a Licensed Therapist- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution, with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
- Four or more years of clinical experience.
- Active, approved license from the Washington State Department of Health at all times and meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
- Maintain an active Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Complete TB test annually and at time of hire.

The role assists the Program Manager with program development, policy and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks as directed.

- Active Washington State Mental Health Associate License (includes Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Social Worker).
- Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC.
- Maintain current TB test.
- Obtain and maintain BLS CPR as described.
Provides diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, case management, individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment planning, and group facilitation. Supports the Director with program, policy, and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks as directed.
Education and Experience for MHT II- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
- Up to three (3) years of experience.
- Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC.
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License (includes Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Social Worker). License may be pending for up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of offer.
- Maintain current TB test.
- Obtain and maintain BLS CPR as described.
