Description
Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts. Responsibilities also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures and making clinical judgments of the patient’s condition based on information from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview, and personal assessments.
Required Qualifications- Coursework/Training and successful completion of an Ultrasound training program; education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasound (ARDMS) registry examination
- Within one year of hire:
National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - On hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association - 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern
