Dietary Assistant

Role Overview

Responsible for the accurate preparation of meals for all diet types and daily forecast/tally for food production and assisting the clinical dietitian(s) and diet technician(s). Directly communicates with patients and/or patient care team regarding meal preferences and physician prescribed diets. Provides direct high‑quality customer service in all aspects of the job, to include running the tray line and passing trays.

• National Food Handler Card – State, County or City Authority upon hire.
• Direct customer service experience.

• Food service experience in a health‑care setting.

Pay range: $21.91 – $37.81 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
