JOB SUMMARY

Provides speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their communication and functional goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies and home exercise programs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with facility policies.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an outpatient pediatric setting.
  • Familiarity with the specific needs of patients within a women and children's pavilion and NICU environment.
Certifications
  • BLS
Experience
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Skills
  • Proficient in pediatric speech and language assessment and intervention.
  • Strong understanding of child development and pediatric disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
