Ultrasound Technician
Ultrasound Technician needed for a night shift position. The assignment is for 13 weeks. Weekend coverage is required. The technician may need to float to other units as necessary. Call is not required for this position. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours per 2 weeks. The technician can be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period. The work includes scanning a variety of patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The daily patient census ranges from 8 to 10. Travelers are expected to float between various units within their skill set. Candidates are required to have experience with the EPIC charting system. The technician will need to perform procedures like abdominal aorta scans, amniocentesis, breast ultrasound, and more. Skills required include proficiency in first, second, and third-trimester ultrasound, as well as emergency department experience.
Certification in ARDMS AM, ARDMS OB/GYN, and ARRT S is preferred but not mandatory. All travelers must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays during the contract period. Two professional references covering the past year are required prior to start.
