Surgical Tech

JOB TITLE:

CVOR Tech

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CVOR Tech to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aseptic technique and experience assisting in a variety of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, as well as general surgery cases.

• Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field and instruments for cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and providing essential instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Perform duties with a strong emphasis on aseptic technique to prevent contamination.
• Manage and maintain surgical case carts, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
• Operate and troubleshoot robotic surgical systems, including the XI Robotics system.
• Assist in managing the crash cart and ensuring its readiness for emergent situations.

• 3 or 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Day/Evening shifts:  and

• 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• 1 weekend shift and/or 1 holiday per 6-week schedule

• If there are no cardiac cases, the technician may be required to float to general surgery.

• BLS Certification

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
• Experience with aseptic technique.
• Experience with case cart management.
• Experience in cardiac and vascular surgical cases.
• Experience with crash cart management.
• XI Robotics experience.
• Experience assisting in general surgery cases.

• Experience in the following surgical specialties:
  Orthopedics, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Joints, Urology, Endoscopy, Thoracic, Neurology, Gynecology, Neuro/Spine, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, and Transplant cases.
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment.
