HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

TheWISeMental Health Clinician provides mental health services, incorporating evidence-based practices that focus on the strengths of children and families served,maintaining required records, and works effectively with community and agency staff. This position requires availability to work in homes, schools, community, and officesettingsdepending onthe needsofindividuals'families on caseload. Communication,confidentiality,and professionalism are essential parts of this position, particularly due toWISebeing a team-based approach.

The ability to work flexible hours including evenings andparticipatingin an on-call rotation is expected.

  • Maintain a caseload of 15 to 25 families.
  • Provide culturally mindful mental health treatment services to children, youth, and families experiencing mental health conditions.
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments todeterminetreatment needs aligned with current DSM diagnoses.
  • Maintaintimelycase notes and records in alignment with the agency’s documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with client support, including family members, partner agencies, and others asindicatedwith regards to client treatment plan.
  • Approach responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility, including the ability to shift quickly from various tasks based on the needs ofthe individual.
  • Participate in required supervision, staff, IEP, 504, and problem-solving team meetings, as well as professional development opportunities that may belocatedthroughout the county.
  • Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members.
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics ofthe populations served.
  • Stay up to date in knowledge and skills in the field.
  • Required to travel throughout countywide service area with mileage reimbursementallocatedmonthly

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English are required; preference for candidates who can communicate in anadditionallanguage:
    Somali, Dari,Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, or Spanish. Candidates withdemonstratedlanguage competency are eligible for language-based pay increases.
  • Successful completion of a background check through Washington State Patrol.
  • Cannot be excluded from participation in any federal healthcare programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits).
  • Must notbe prohibited from entering school grounds or classrooms for any reason.
