Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Pre-K through elementary students with occupational therapy services across three school locations. Youll collaborate with school teams in planning, implementing, and continually enhancing both the OT program and students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The assignment will run from September 2, 2026, through June 15, 2026, with your schedule finalized once the school year begins.

you bring
  • Valid Washington State ESA certificate as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • In-depth understanding of student-centered, culturally responsive, and anti-racist practices
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs across all tiers (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier
    3)
  • Strong foundation in child development, learning styles, and practices that promote equitable education
  • Up-to-date on district, state, and federal regulations related to confidentiality, record keeping, mandated reporting, special education, and student protections (including foster care and homelessness)
  • Training in restraint/aversive interventions or willingness to pursue certification
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy services both directly and consultatively to support students access to learning
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust IEP goals in collaboration with families and school staff
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings for comprehensive student support
  • Educate and consult with teachers and staff on OT best practices and adaptive supports
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and district requirements
