Labor & Delivery RN – High-Risk Perinatal Care
Schedule - 12-hour shifts
- Weekends required
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Assignment Details
- Guaranteed hours:
May be called off for 1 x 12-hour shift per 2-week period
Requirements
- Compact RN license - 2 years of clinical RN experience (minimum 1 year for submission) - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate OR Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries preferred; experience in 100-200 deliveries acceptable
- Experience with high-risk antepartum conditions (pre-eclampsia/HELLP, magnesium sulfate, induction/oxytocin, VBAC management) - Proficient in intrapartum care (1:1 labor management, fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams) - Experience in cesarean care (assist/circulate for C-section, recovery) - Skills in neonatal/newborn assessment, thermoregulation, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage labor and delivery processes for high-risk perinatal patients
- Conduct assessments and monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor
- Provide support and education to patients during the labor and postpartum period
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient care
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
