The Associate Patient Care Coordinator functions as an integral member of the team and is the first point of contact for all people inquiring about the provider's practice. The primary role is to organize the practice's daily activities and paperwork.

Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals

Working Hours:

(40

Hours a week) Monday through Friday an 8-hour shift to be determined from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  May change due to business needs.

Location:

3901 Hoyt Ave., Everett, WA 98201, and may travel to 21401 72nd Ave. W, Third Floor, Edmonds, WA 98026 for coverage purposes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Greet customers into practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in person

Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information

Perform insurance verification on the date of service

Follow the payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelines

Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages

Ability to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions ie insurance eligibility

Obtain patient signatures for required documents

Upload a valid Government issued state  patient and patient insurance cards

Schedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directed

Maintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutter

Prepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's care

Meet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management Dept.

Follow established policy and procedures related to the position

Participate and contribute to a team-based environment

Maintain a team supportive attendance record

Understand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with Optum's efforts in becoming a High-Performance Organization Follow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelines

Follow HIPAA regulations

Adapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situations

Ability to cover other offices as needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)1+ years of customer service or Healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience working knowledge of Epic EMR software

Experience taking inbound and making outbound calls1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and insurance verification or Healthcare experience

Soft Skills:

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with a diverse team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently or in a team setting as directed
