Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a high-volume facility specializing in high-risk perinatal care, including comprehensive maternity services and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level III Labor and Delivery department with a focus on high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, postpartum, antepartum, and triage support, leveraging advanced certifications and clinical skills.
The position begins on 09/21/2026 and extends through 12/21/2026, requiring commitment to a 12-hour day shift and a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Schedule:
12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, beginning on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026. - Required Qualifications:
Valid state license, at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; certifications including BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring; experience with EPIC charting system, and a minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in high-risk perinatal care. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries, proficiency in sterile speculum exams, high-risk delivery assistance, and neonatal resuscitation. - Float:
Float rotation may be required. - Additional Information:
- This role involves staffing for high-risk perinatal care, including labor, postpartum, antepartum, and triage services.
- The unit maintains a staffing model aimed at 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum, with dedicated skilled RNs per shift.
- The department supports interdisciplinary collaboration, utilizing advanced equipment, and adheres to strict certification and skill requirements, including sterile procedures, fetal monitoring, and neonatal assessments.
- Candidates are expected to be flexible to work on holidays and to complete required modules during orientation.
