American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R and Washington state license required (license required if applicable).
Details- Interventional Radiology unit located within the OR, featuring 3 single-plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room, with additional procedures performed in radiology and CT suites
- Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP daily
- Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, whole-body angiography/intervention (excluding cardiac), Y90, chemo embolization, cryoablation, venography/intervention, fluoro/CT/ultrasound-guided biopsies, venous access (ports, dialysis catheters, central lines), gastrostomy, and drain placements (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required 5-7 days per month, including weekend coverage
- May be expected to float between sister facilities within the same state
- Uses Epic EMR and Siemens equipment with PACS
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- BLS and ARRT-R certifications required; ACLS and ARRT-VI preferred
- Active Washington state license required (license required if applicable)
- Contrast administration experience required
- Angiogram, nephrostogram, and venous access experience required
- C-arm and biopsy experience preferred
- Ablation and kyphoplasty experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulation, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
- Any scrub color permitted except reddish orange
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
