American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT R certification.
Details- Interventional Radiology unit located within the operating room, featuring 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
- Additional procedures performed in a dedicated radiology room and CT suite
- Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
- Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, angiography and intervention of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemo embolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, fluoro/CT/ultrasound-guided biopsies, venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drain placements (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend requirements are limited to on-call coverage
- Call required 5-7 days per month
- No floating between like units required for this assignment
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
- EPIC charting system
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- BLS and ARRT R certification required
- WA State License required if applicable
- ACLS and ARRT VI certifications preferred
- Required skills include venous access, angiograms, nephrogram, and contrast administration
- Preferred skills include C-Arm operation, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
- Experience with sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field required
- Level II Trauma Center experience
- Responsibilities may include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- Scrubs may be any color except reddish orange
- Facility is a Level II Trauma Center encompassing outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
- Former staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- Parking is facility paid
