This is a contract position for a Mental Health Professional Clinician whose i
ndependent license is active in the state of Washington and who has a minimum of 1 year of experience conducting assessments and diagnoses.

Contractor will provide the following services as an independent contractor:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical intakes and assessments to determine client needs, eligibility for services, and level of care.
• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic evaluations consistent with current clinical standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Complete and submit evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic reports needed for clinical decision-making and service authorization.
• Document assessments and diagnoses thoroughly and accurately in compliance with Agency policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in reassessment and diagnostic review processes as needed to support continued medical necessity and an appropriate level of care.
• Comply with all applicable documentation, charting, and coding requirements related to assessment and diagnosis.
• Contractor retains control over the manner and means of performing the services, subject to applicable law, payer requirements, clinical standards, documentation requirements, and Agency compliance policies.

• Contractor is an independent contractor and is not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of Agency. Contractor is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, with holdings, business expenses, insurance, licensing fees, and other obligations arising from compensation paid under this Agreement. Contractor is not eligible for Agency employee benefits, including health insurance, paid leave, retirement benefits, unemployment insurance, or workers' compensation coverage through Agency, except to the extent coverage is legally required regardless of the parties' classification.
• Contractor will maintain all required continuing education, licenses, credentials, registrations, and business authorizations. Contractor must successfully complete all required background and exclusion checks before providing services and must immediately notify Agency of any license discipline, investigation, suspension, restriction, relevant arrest or conviction, founded finding, exclusion, or other matter that may affect Contractor's eligibility to provide services.

• Agency will pay Contractor a flat rate of $125 for each completed assessment. A completed assessment is one that has been fully conducted, accurately documented in the Agency's electronic health record, signed by Contractor, submitted within 72 hours, and accepted by Agency as complete, clinically appropriate, and compliant with payer, regulatory, and Agency standards.
• Agency may withhold, delay, or deny payment for an assessment that is incomplete, inaccurate, untimely, not medically necessary, improperly documented, unsigned, noncompliant with applicable requirements, or not accepted for billing.

7.1 Legal and Contractual Compliance. Contractor will comply with HIPAA, HITECH, 42 C.F.R. Part 2 when applicable, Washington confidentiality law, Agency privacy and security policies, and the Business Associate Agreement attached to or executed in connection with this Agreement.

7.2 Agency Systems Only. Contractor will use only Agency-approved systems and Agency-authorized devices, accounts, networks, and methods to access, document, transmit, or store client information or other personally identifiable information (PII). Contractor will not share credentials, download or retain protected health information (PHI) or PII on an unauthorized device or account, use an unsecured network, or transmit PHI or PII through personal email, text messaging, consumer file-sharing services, or another unapproved platform.

7.3 Incident Reporting. Contractor will immediately report to Agency any suspected or actual unauthorized access, use, disclosure, acquisition, loss, theft, alteration, or destruction of PHI or PII, or any privacy or security incident, and will fully cooperate with Agency's investigation, mitigation, notification, and remediation activities.
