American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring cardiovascular/thoracic surgical experience and call availability.
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- WA state license required (license required if applicable)
- NBSTSA certification preferred
- Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Quick learner with willingness to assist and be trained in new skills
- 4x10 day shift schedule, regular hours 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
- At least 10 call shifts per month required, call hours 5:00 PM-6:30 AM
- 1-2 weekends required per month
- Daily average surgical case volume of 55
- Performs CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS, and CVL support with carotid cutdowns and laser lead standby
- Required specialties include General, Cardiovascular/Thoracic, and Laparoscopic surgery
- Preferred specialties include OB/GYN, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neuro/Crani, and Transplant
- Performs flexible endoscope reprocessing, with preferred experience in bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS
- Singular scrub per cardiothoracic case, with expectation to float to general OR
- EPIC charting system used
- Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses
- Any scrub color accepted except reddish orange
- Facility-paid parking provided
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
- Former facility employees must wait at least 3 months before returning and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
