Job Details

Pacific Northwest Retina is a premier, physician‑led retina practice delivering exceptional vitreoretinal care across Washington State. With multiple clinic locations staffed by fellowship‑trained retina specialists, we are committed to clinical excellence and a compassionate patient experience.

Pacific Northwest Retina is an affiliate of Retina Consultants of America (RCA), one of the nation’s largest retina‑focused Management Services Organizations (MSOs). RCA is in the process of being acquired by Cencora, with an anticipated close date of December 31, 2026 -- representing an exciting chapter of growth and expanded resources for our practice and the broader RCA network.

Position Summary

The Manager, Human Resources serves as the strategic HR partner, employee champion, talent driver, and change leader for Pacific Northwest Retina. This role aligns business and HR strategies across our multi‑site retina practice while acting as the key HR liaison to RCA, coordinating practice‑level HR needs under the MSO services agreement.

Working with HR Shared Services and Centers of Expertise (COEs), this role leads HR interventions that balance local practice needs with the evolving global HR strategy of the Cencora enterprise. The Senior HRBP will also manage and develop a team of HR business partners and play a critical role in navigating the Cencora acquisition integration.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR generalist -- preferably from a physician clinic or specialty medical practice -- who can operate within the dynamics of a physician‑owned practice supported by an MSO during a period of significant organizational change.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment
  • Partner with physician leadership, the Practice Administrator/COO, and clinic managers to develop and implement people strategies and workforce plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Advise senior leaders on talent growth strategies and technical capability pipelines.
  • Provide coaching to business leaders to deliver on their people goals.
  • Lead the design of structures that improve individual and organizational performance.
RCA & Cencora Coordination
  • Primary HR liaison between Pacific Northwest Retina and RCA/Cencora’s corporate HR team and organizational capabilities.
  • Coordinate with RCA/Cencora on centralized programs including benefits, HRIS/payroll, compensation benchmarking, and shared HR policies.
  • Partner with COEs to drive performance management, learning & development, succession planning, and key HR processes.
  • Lead the implementation of standardized HR processes aligned with RCA/ Cencora frameworks.
Cencora Acquisition Integration
  • Actively participate in the integration workstream -- aligning local HR policies, benefits, and compensation with Cencora standards.
  • Communicate changes to associates with clarity, empathy, and transparency.
  • Support cultural integration while preserving the practice's physician‑led identity.
  • Ensure continuity of associate experience during system migrations and organizational restructuring.
  • Enable change management planning and activities, with particular focus on the Cencora transition.
  • Champion and support adoption for communication strategies that keep associates informed and engaged during periods of change.
Associate Relations
  • Manage highly complex associate relations issues that may have significant business impact.
  • Ensure successful resolution of Labor Relations issues in partnership with the Employee Relations COE.
  • Conduct investigations and manage sensitive workplace matters with discretion.
  • Evaluate and manage compensation structures, benefits programs, and incentive plans in partnership with RCA and Cencora COEs.
  • Lead local execution of benefits enrollment and support transition to Cencora platforms.
Compliance & Policy
  • Ensure compliance with all Washington State and federal employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave, WA Cares Fund, and applicable municipal labor laws.
  • Align local policies with RCA and Cencora enterprise standards.
