Job Description:
Client is looking for a Service Now Architect who will use their knowledge and experience of the Service Now platform to architect a solution that meets the ITSM, ITAM and change management needs of IT projects across DC.

The Client is the central technology organization of the District of Columbia Government. It develops, implements, and maintains the District’s technology infrastructure; develops and implements major enterprise applications; establishes and oversees technology policies and standards for the District; provides technology services and support for District agencies, and develops technology solutions to improve services to businesses and visitors in all areas of District government.
ResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end Service Now solutions that align with business objectives and requirements. Develop technical architecture, data model, integrations, and workflows to support business processes.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies. Mentor team members on Service Now platform capabilities and implementation strategies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
Develop the Service Now platform using JavaScript, Glide Script, HTML, and CSS to meet specific business needs. Configure workflows, forms, UI policies, and catalog items.
Design and implement integrations between Service Now and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Servers, and other integration techniques. Ensure data integrity and security in integrations.
Identify opportunities to optimize Service Now performance and scalability. Implement performance tuning measures and monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation.
Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and security standards in Service Now implementations. Implement security controls, access restrictions, and audit mechanisms as necessary.
Create technical documentation including design documents, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides. Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and end-users.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
- Proven experience architecting and implementing complex Service Now solutions in enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Now platform architecture, modules, and components.
- Strong knowledge of the following Service Now modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITFM, HRSD, PPM and SPM.
- Experience with Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, and other protocols.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
