Digital Analyst II

Job Summary

Maintain and collect digital data collection and analytics for web, social, apps, and campaigns by defining tracking requirements, administering tools (GA/GTM), and maintaining tags, conversions, and metrics. Analyze and visualize performance data to deliver insights, lead business reviews, and recommend strategic actions.

• Maintain structured approach for collecting, managing, and leveraging digital data.
• Define data capture requirements for agency’s digital platforms.
• Set up and manage analytics software (GA, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
• Implement new tracking tags for marketing campaigns or UX events.
• Update filters, conversions, custom dimensions/metrics as business needs evolve.
• Proactively explore and analyze business data to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement and strategic direction.
• Translate analytical findings into clear narratives using visualizations and storytelling.
• Lead and facilitate business review meetings with stakeholders to understand priorities, share findings, and recommend actions.
• Enable and support data‑driven decision making across the organization.
• Identify, collect, and document business needs from stakeholders; translate into actionable user stories for data architects and engineers.
• Develop and publish interactive reports in Looker and Power BI; create visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Perform systematic data quality checks on digital analytics software and reporting products; ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy.
• Document processes, data definitions, and access controls; enforce compliance and security requirements.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

• Three (3) years of experience in digital / web analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HTML, etc.).
• Three (3) years of experience querying data in a relational database environment (Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Three (3) years of experience in data analysis (Excel, R, Python, etc.).
• Two (2) years of experience building dashboards or reports (Looker, Power BI, etc.).
• One (1) year of experience facilitating meetings and presenting analytical findings.
• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

• Basic understanding of how digital data is collected (events, pixels, cookies, etc.).
• Familiar with digital analytic tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
• Basic understanding of website development and processes (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Familiar with data validation techniques.

• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex technical information.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and similar digital tools.
• Intermediate data manipulation (validation, pivot, custom functions) and analysis using Excel, SQL, DAX, Python/R.
• Strong skills in Looker and Power BI report creation.
• Experience with data cleaning, validation, and review techniques.
• Ability to frame business questions into data analysis problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to stay updated with latest developments in digital data analysis.
