Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join our Government Services team in Washington, DC. As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, and AWS. If you have strong Dev Ops experience, scripting proficiency, and cloud engineering expertise, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Provide Information and Architecture solutions to ensure efficient manipulation, organization, and sharing of information, data, and/or master data in data-lake, lake-house, and data-mart constructs.
- Develop and maintain functional scripts in Power Shell, Bash, or Python to automate cloud infrastructure tasks.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain AWS & GCP cloud infrastructure, with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Create and manage IAM policies and roles, ensuring proper access control and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Leverage scripting for Dev Ops pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and configuration management.
- Ensure adherence to established cloud governance and security practices.
- Work with GCP, including folder structure management and policy configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and CI/CD‑related issues.
- Support partners in the migration of their data to the Cloud.
- Active Secret clearance required to start with ability to obtain Top Secret.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or Dev Ops roles.
- Experience developing and managing Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Experience supporting and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
- Previous experience implementing federal cloud compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST) and enforcing best practices for security and governance.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Power Shell, or Bash.
- Hands‑on experience with GCP structure Management and policy configuration.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, Cloud Formation, etc.).
- Comfortable creating IAM policies, roles, and managing access structures.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Ability to jump into an established agile environment and contribute from day one.
- Willingness to research and self‑study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment.
