Position Overview
The Director, Global Tax Technology Architect leads the execution of the global tax technology strategy, focusing on maintaining and enhancing a centralized tax data environment and advancing AI‑enabled capabilities across the tax function.
Key Responsibilities- Lead global tax technology operations and partner across tax, finance, and IT to align data, automation, and AI capabilities with business objectives.
- Define and execute the tax technology roadmap, driving adoption of AI (including applications and agents) and modern data architecture.
- Architect and implement a centralized tax data lake/warehouse, integrating data from multiple ERP and financial systems.
- Design data models, ingestion pipelines, and frameworks to support scalable analytics, business intelligence, and AI‑driven use cases such as forecasting and predictive modeling.
- Enable integration of AI tools and automation platforms (Microsoft Power Platform, Alteryx) to enhance data extraction, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Drive transformation of core tax processes (compliance, provision, transfer pricing, reporting) through automation, standardization, and improved controls.
- Ensure solutions are SOX‑compliant, auditable, and aligned with enterprise governance, security, and data quality standards.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team while building strong cross‑functional partnerships to deliver scalable, forward‑looking solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, computer science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience, including progressive roles in tax and/or finance technology, leadership of transformative technology implementations, AI capability exploration, and system architecture design and execution within a large multinational organization.
- Hands‑on experience with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) and automation platforms (Power Platform, Alteryx).
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise data architecture (data lake/warehouse) in complex, multi‑system environments.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) and financial reporting tools (One Stream, Workiva).
- Eligible for bonus and equity as part of the total compensation package.
- Salary range: $184, (local currency).
