Overview

Amentum is seeking an eDiscovery Project Coordinator to support a new team at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC. This full‑time, on‑site role reports to a Project Manager and involves coordinating all technical aspects of electronic discovery for complex, large‑scale cases.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate strategic and legal aspects of eDiscovery projects, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the discovery lifecycle.
  • Consult with case teams to develop and implement technical strategies, including data collection, processing, document review, production, and trial.
  • Serve as liaison between the legal team and contractors, ensuring effective communication and compliance with discovery requirements.
  • Advise on technology options, including early case assessment, document search, and review tools, to meet efficiency and cost‑effectiveness goals.
  • Participate in legal proceedings such as 26(f) conferences, prepare affidavits, and testify on defensibility of eDiscovery processes.
  • Maintain standard procedures for eDiscovery and litigation support projects, ensuring consistent application across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop cost estimates and recommend efficiencies; oversee creation of statistical reporting on collection, filtering, processing, review, and production.
  • Delegate workflow tasks, including data management, search query construction, processing, production, and quality control.
  • Coordinate responses to discovery requests and provide regular status reports and metrics for each project phase.
  • Stay abreast of emerging eDiscovery litigation‑support technology and processes; conduct briefings on new technology and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of eDiscovery services and litigation support experience on complex, large cases involving eDiscovery challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling financial crime/non‑compliance cases.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; thorough understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) in data collection, review, analytics, and production.
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructures, including networks and other data sources.
  • Prior management of eDiscovery projects and related technologies.
  • Advanced experience planning eDiscovery efforts, managing client expectations, and minimizing risk exposure.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of eDiscovery tools, including Relativity, Nuix, Axiom, and other litigation technology platforms.
  • General knowledge of forensics and deep expertise in search‑related technology (terms, prompts, AI, etc.).
  • Highly organized, problem‑solving, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree and eDiscovery certifications preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization (U.S. citizenship required).
Compensation

$95,000 – $142,000 (salary range)
