Technical Program Manager (TPM)
Stord is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the development and scaling of core supply chain software, including Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS), and lay groundwork for a future Warehouse Execution System (WES).
Responsibilities- Drive the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle (SDLC) for WMS and TMS, ensuring design aligns with physical warehouse operations.
- Lead architectural discussions and specifically adapt software for warehouse floor realities, labor management, and routing.
- Advance WMS into a Warehouse Execution System (WES) by designing dynamic task interleaving, wave planning, and tighter orchestration with automation and human operators.
- Translate advanced operational experiments from Stord Labs into software requirements and manage Alpha/Beta testing environments.
- Oversee triage sessions during pilot testing, troubleshoot bugs, and enforce strict change‑management protocols for scaling deployments.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems. - Experience:
8–12 years as a Technical Program Manager or Technical Product Manager focusing on SaaS supply‑chain or core logistics platforms. - Technical literacy: deep understanding of modern microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), data schemas for WMS/TMS, and ability to translate operational processes into system designs.
- Agile expertise:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent, with strong cross‑team dependency management and release scheduling. - Travel: 25% travel required.
- Bonus points:
prior experience in innovation labs, R&D, advanced manufacturing/automation, data science, simulation, or digital twin initiatives.
Travel up to 25% of the time; competitive compensation and equity opportunities, depending on role level (Staff or Principal).
