US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance on urgent mission-degrading CASREPs or similar problems affecting major systems;
Communicate with ship's officers, exercising leadership, tact, and persuasion to influence and control corrective actions;
Resolve complex problems in assigned systems and equipment under pressure to meet operational schedules;
Provide skilled technical support to ships operating in the Pacific Ocean area, Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf and other locations as assigned;
Investigate/resolve specific problems and provide final field test documentation for elimination of the problems
