LHH is partnering with a highly regarded boutique law firm in Washington, DC seeking an associate to join its growing International Regulatory practice.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border regulatory matters alongside experienced practitioners in a collaborative, high-touch environment. Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on a broad range of international regulatory and compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to international trade, sanctions, export controls, and other cross-border regulatory issues.
- Draft memoranda, client alerts, regulatory submissions, and other transactional and advisory documents.
- Support client counseling on complex regulatory developments and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated domestic and international matters.
- Participate in business development initiatives and client-facing activities as appropriate.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
- 3-6 years of experience in international regulatory, international trade, economic sanctions, export controls, customs, or related practice areas.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional communication and client-service skills.
- Approximately 1,800 billable hour target.
