Serve as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps and expand your legal career in a competitive community of attorneys who are dedicated to public service, national security, and quality counsel.
About the RoleMarine Corps Judge Advocates begin their certification pipeline with Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Quantico, Virginia. Once they receive their commission as an officer and complete rigorous basic training, Judge Advocates complete their certification process with education on the Uniform Code of Military Justice at Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island.
Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel on military operations
- Litigate criminal offenses
- Advocate for other service members
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Currently certified good standing
