Mission description

As a member of Safran Seats, you contribute to providing over one million seats to airlines worldwide, ensuring superior quality, comfort, and innovation. Your role involves collaborating with a team to develop high-value solutions for passengers and crews. Safran is one of the few OEMs offering a comprehensive range of passenger seats, from economy to first class, allowing you to take pride in creating impressive seating options for various needs.

Responsibilities
  • A) Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.
  • B) Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjusting misaligned panels / trim pieces, provide assistance to the Air Framer seat installation team and other miscellaneous tasks given.
  • C) Sustains a high quality level of workmanship at all times.
  • D) Responds promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Air Framer personnel and customers.
  • E) Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
  • F) Follow Safran /Air Framer safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.
  • G) Submits accurate part order requests and understands the POA / SOA process at Air Framer / Safran.
  • H) Responsible for driving company van and other technicians safely around Air Framer/Safran Facilities.
  • I) Attend Safran daily standup/tie-in meeting.
  • J) Adhere to Air Framer /Safran training requirements that relate to Flight line, Safety and other course overviews throughout the year.
  • K) Coordinate verbally with QA's, Engineers, Lead's, Technicians and other key Air Framer / Safran personnel on a daily basis.
  • L) Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Desirable Aspects
  • A. Education & Qualification
    High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred.
  • B. Work Experience
    At least 2 years of Field Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs required.
  • C. Professional Skills
    Natural mechanical ability with hand and power tools. Basic working knowledge of CMM's, Engineering Drawings and other technical documents. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS office applications. Proficient using smart phones / tablets on a daily basis to send emails, pictures and other applications. Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport.
  • D. Behavioral Skills
    Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations. Follows instructions and completes jobs in a timely manner. Customer service is essential for this job and the employee must have excellent communication skills, verbally and handwritten. Must have the availability to work various hours, after hours and weekend as needed. Must have ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, including the ability to manage assignments from more than one customer during any given day.

    Willing to travel to other Air Framer FALs in other state and other international Safran sites on some occasion.…
