Pay Details & Schedule

Pay: $25 to $29 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

About The Position

The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the assigned community and supporting the Community Manager to ensure optimum performance of the community in areas including leasing and marketing, compliance, accounting, and resident satisfaction. Successful candidates in this role will have tax credit housing experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Community Manager in all aspects of daily operations for the community.
  • Perform accounting tasks including collecting and posting rent and other payments, processing month end, move-ins, move-outs, and zero receipts in a timely manner. Work with the Accounting Department to resolve issues and errors.
  • Keep Yardi and associated resident management software up to date with rent charges, occupants, lease dates and other data.
  • Support marketing and leasing efforts including social media engagement, reputation management, advertising, marketing collateral, curb appeal and pricing.
  • Engage with prospective residents through lead management software, email and phone calls, appointments, and follow-up communication. Lease and tour apartment homes, guiding new residents through the application, tax credit and move-in process.
  • Administer lease agreements and addendums, renewals, prospect screening processes, and legal notices ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to resident questions and requests in a timely manner; work with Resident Relations to deescalate and resolve concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects and guests.
  • Participate in resident events, community programming and local/non-profit programs.
  • Assist with tax credit compliance requirements, including monitoring rents, new move-ins and re-certifications. Coordinate with Compliance on paperwork, calculations, re-certifications, and reporting.
  • Act as onsite supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager.
  • Submit reporting as directed by the Community Manager, adhering to company deadlines.
  • Maintain communication with the Community Manager; alert immediately with concerns regarding employees, the community, or the neighborhood/market.
  • Document injuries and incidents and report to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with local housing authorities and agencies.
  • Assist in implementing new systems, programs and procedures; use company technology and software effectively.
