Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our Fulfillment team in Everett, WA. The successful candidate is a self‑motivated, driven person who can manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation, especially in the delivery customer service role.

Role responsibilities include operational factory support, shipping/receiving, material handling, expedite, warehousing, and serving as the Supply Chain contact for off‑shift customer support. This role principally leads a team of hourly, represented team members in the Supply Chain function.

• Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Manages, develops and motivates employees
• Possesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors

• 5+ years of experience in Supply chain and/or Materials Management
• 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high‑stakes discussions
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
• Must be willing and able to work any shift (including weekends and holidays; both scheduled and unscheduled overtime may be required)

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
• 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• 3+ years leading critical projects
• 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
• 5+ years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with safety and quality processes
• Aerospace or manufacturing experience
• 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
• Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and translate into strategy implementation
• Demonstrated capacity to proactively and quickly make sense of complex issues; respond effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicate complicated information simply
• Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand

2nd shift:
Monday through Friday, working hours are 1:30 pm to 10 pm.
