Position: MARKET SALES MANAGER

Market Sales Managers will manage full-time sales employees and be accountable for delivering sales growth targets. This role drives continuous improvement of processes and procedures across the organization, including developing and enhancing the team’s selling skills, driving performance growth, and supporting company and market initiatives. Managers are responsible for hiring, coaching, managing, and conducting in-field training of the sales team, spending much of their time working with sales employees in the field.

They provide input on national sales training curriculum and serve as trusted advisors and leaders within the market, nurturing culture and engagement while overseeing strategies focused on improving employee and patient experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for budgeted and year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Spend at least four days per week in the field with sales employees, referrals, and other decision makers.
  • Work one-on-one with sales employees to assess skills and knowledge by observing sales calls and performance.
  • Provide coaching and model desired behaviors to enhance understanding of concepts and techniques.
  • Cultivate and promote a culture that reinforces vision and core values by creating a diverse, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment.
  • Ensure the sales force has the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed by delivering training in small groups, large groups, or one-on-one, virtually or in person.
  • Provide feedback and recommend future training programs to Corporate Sales Training for national development.
  • Create an inspiring team atmosphere with open communication and a cohesive employee experience.
  • Set clear, concise, and attainable team goals; motivate team members to perform at their fullest potential.
  • Lead by example with clear direction, candid feedback, and a communication style that builds trust and optimism.
  • Recognize high performance, encourage creativity, and reward accomplishments.
  • Serve as a market subject matter expert on new sales initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on programs to identify and correct issues.
  • Ensure residence and ability to travel within the market geography.
  • Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four-year degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • At least five years of industry experience in sales leadership.
  • At least five years of frontline selling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work with all levels, including executive management.
  • Field credibility based on a successful selling track record, winning attitude, and detailed product/process knowledge.
  • Exceptional administrative and time‑management skills.
  • Experience and interest in coaching others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive travel within the market (over 75%).
  • Strong working knowledge of sales management tools such as , sales targeting data, and the Microsoft suite.
  • English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, or crouches; talks or hears. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements include both close and distance vision. Must be able to travel by plane and automobile.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed with low to moderate noise levels; rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
