The RoleAs the Executive Director, Strategy and Business Development for the North Puget Sound & Pacific Medical Centers service areas, based in Everett, WA, you will lead strategic planning, capital planning, growth initiatives, and collaborative ventures with other healthcare providers. Your leadership will drive strategic capital projects and align annual goals with Providence’s overarching directions.
What You’ll Do- Strategic Visionary: Spearhead strategy and vision for NPS & PMC using data‑driven insights, craft business plans, and evaluate program potential.
- Capital Planning Leader: Manage strategic capital requests and present proposals to Service Area, Division, and System governance.
- Service Line Champion: Develop growth and outreach programs, coordinate market and program development across Service Area.
- Portfolio Strategist: Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend growth aspirations and market performance improvements.
- Budget and Growth Architect: Collaborate to establish annual budget and multi‑year strategic growth goals.
- Committee Contributor: Engage in Division and System projects and committees, share best practices at Service Area level.
- Merger and Partnership Facilitator: Coordinate line‑level partnerships, contract development, and operational setup.
- Business Development Consultant: Provide guidance on growth initiatives, ensuring project timelines met.
- Best Practices Advocate: Ensure consistent execution of service line plans and share best practices across lines.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field;
Master’s preferred (MBA or MHA/MPH). - Experience: 7 years in strategy, business development, or complex business project management, preferably in healthcare.
- Washington State Expertise: 5 years in Washington State healthcare landscape and collaboration with executives.
- Leadership Agility: Proven administrative or leadership experience, strategic agility managing complex priorities.
- Customer‑Centric Approach: Anticipate needs and ensure proactive support.
- Quality‑Oriented: Efficient, problem‑anticipating, striving for excellence.

We require leaders to work a hybrid schedule: three days onsite, two days remote, and live within reasonable commuting distance to the service area they support and lead.
