The Boeing Company – Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First Line Product and Quality Manager (Level K) to join the Field Quality Team in Everett, WA. This position is available for 3rd shift.
- Lead and manage a team of employees responsible for evaluating and ensuring that products, services, and processes meet customer contract requirements, engineering standards, company procedures, and government regulations.
- Develop and implement effective business plans, policies, and procedures aimed at enhancing performance and quality outcomes.
- Create and execute organizational and technical strategies that promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Provide education and coaching on the Quality System, empowering team members to understand and uphold quality standards.
- Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Acquire and manage resources efficiently, leading initiatives that drive process improvements and optimize performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports to foster collaboration and success.
- Inspire, develop, and motivate employees, cultivating a high-performance culture that embraces change and encourages professional growth.
- 1+ years of experience working with senior leaders/executives to communicate strategic plans and objectives.
- Must be willing and able to work any shift (including weekends and holidays, with possible scheduled and unscheduled overtime).
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- A&P license.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing multi-functional teams within a Quality Management environment.
- 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of experience in a production/factory environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High energy and enthusiasm for driving cultural change and improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Solid business acumen with a proven ability to develop and execute successful strategies.
