Director of Development (CFRE)

Job Location:

Homage Senior Services - Everett, WA 98208. Position Type:
Full Time. Salary Range: $88,675.28 - $ (budgeted $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience). Shift: Day. The position may be hybrid or remote with 2 days per month required on-site at our office in Everett, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Fundraising Leadership
  • Develop and execute a multi-year, data-informed fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Establish and track KPIs, including donor acquisition and stewardship, pipeline development, and revenue diversification and growth
  • Drive diversified revenue streams across individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and events
  • Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to optimize fundraising performance and ROI
Major Gifts & Donor Portfolio Management
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth donors (typically $5,000+)
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized engagement strategies
  • Build and advance sustainable donor pipelines to increase long-term giving and lifetime value
  • Partner with the CEO, executive leadership, and Board members on major gift strategy and relationship management
Corporate & Institutional Partnerships
  • Develop and expand corporate sponsor ships and institutional funding through relationships
  • Oversee grant strategy in collaboration with the CEO and leadership, including prospecting, application, and reporting
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and support development staff across functions
  • Promote cross‑functional collaboration between development, marketing, and program teams
Board & Executive Partnership
  • Serve as liaison to Board of Directors
  • Support board engagement in fundraising strategy and capacity‑building
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on fundraising performance, forecasts, and trends
Marketing & Stewardship
  • Oversee donor-centric communications, including storytelling and campaign messaging
  • Strengthen donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement programs
  • Collaborate with marketing/communications to align brand, messaging, and fundraising initiatives
Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate gift processing, reporting, and donor data management
  • Oversee CRM systems and maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and accounting standards related to fundraising
Revenue Accountability
  • Individual portfolio target of $500,000 – $750,000+, with an annual fundraising goal and growth expectations, along with the total organizational fundraising target of $2 million to $3 million, also with growth expectations
  • Responsible for forecasting revenue, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies to meet target
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7‑10+ years of progressive fundraising experience
  • Proven success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate support
  • Experience working with executive leadership and boards
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising analytics
Preferred Qualifications
  • CFRE credential
  • Knowledge of Puget Sound philanthropic community

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This work is performed in an office environment, employee's place of residence and/or in public venues; when necessary, the ability to work in a semi‑open office setting with frequent in‑person interactions; must be able to use full range of senses as needed to complete the job's essential duties; must be able to lift at least 25 pounds occasionally related to equipment/supplies for public presentations;

work requires occasional travel away from the office during normal business hours.

Benefits

Employees working 25 hours or more are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life, and critical illness insurance, with an increased cost share for employees scheduled for 25-29 hours/week. Employees working 20 hours or more per week receive 11 designated paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays per year, as well as paid vacation and sick time. Employees age 21 and older are able to enroll in our 401K plan upon hire and, after one year and at least 1000 hours worked, will be eligible for our matching program.
