Job Description

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our Systems team in Everett, WA.

The Supply Chain Operations Manager leads a team responsible for supplier portfolio management, on‑time project execution, rate readiness, and performance of build and delivery activities for Boeing airplane programs. The team ensures that these suppliers are staffed and equipped with the engineering, design, qualification, and production capacity to meet all Boeing requirements and follow‑on production programs with on-time delivery to the Boeing production system while satisfying all certification and quality requirements.

As part of the Boston‑based Systems team, you will help create a culture focused on empowerment, accountability, and trust, working on complex projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ideal candidates excel in building and leading high‑performing teams, partner cross‑functionally to solve complex supply‑chain issues, and make strategic decisions to support supply‑chain and production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company, responsible for all supplier‑related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment, performance improvement, and supply‑chain process improvement.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies, procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Builds and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. A “US Person” (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.
  • 3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time.
  • At least one year of leadership experience (team leader, manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal managerial role) OR completion of Boeing’s internal course "Exploring Leadership".
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • Proven ability to execute commitments.
  • Experience using strategic decision‑making and supply‑chain metrics to drive business results.

Total Rewards

The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay, variable compensation, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for this role is $122,400 – $165,600.
