About the opportunity

The Careers and Corporate Consultant, MBA Programs will support strategic and operational leadership in corporate engagement and career management services for the MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) and MBA programs at the University of Sydney.

This position is responsible for cultivating and managing strong working relationships with corporate partners and individuals both locally and internationally as relevant to all aspects of the MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) and programs. Utilising established corporate relations, the position is also responsible for supporting the provision of superior career services to MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy), MBA students and alumni using innovative tools and technology.

Your key responsibilities will be to:engage in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with major local and international MBA recruiting organisations in technology and digital strategy develop and manage existing relationships with relevant University and School stakeholders including Corporate and International Relations, Student and Academic Services, IT and Finance, in relation to corporate marketing and student support within the MBA Programs together with the Career and Corporate Relations Manager, MBA Programs, develop the objectives and strategies of the Business School’s Career Management Program and Careers Academy, engaging internal stakeholders and external partners through creative, high-level liaison, in line with the Global and Financial Times ranking criteria support the execution of the Business School School’s Career Management Program, Careers Academy, coaching services and technical systems, which includes reviewing and redesigning them to align with the academic content of the MBA programs monitor and analyse market trends related to careers support in MBA Programs both locally and internationally.

About you Proven ability to build, develop and maintain strong corporate relationships, and confidently engage, influence and build trust with diverse internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, including budgets, timelines and deliverables

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, correspondence and communicate effectively across all organisational levels

Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and the ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures

Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build confidence in stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including supervising staff and contributing to team outcomes

Flexibility to work outside standard hours for events and willingness to travel internationally as required.
