DescriptionPosition is assigned to the Division of Behavioral Health and Veterans Services. This position will oversee the wide variety of programming provided for indigent and low-income veterans including emergency and ancillary services, housing support and employment assistance. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Veterans Unit. This position will work in partnership with local, state and federal partners in the coordinated delivery of services to our most vulnerable veterans.
Candidates must be veterans honorably discharged from the military.
To provide leadership, supervision, and technical guidance to staff within assigned Human Services program areas. Responsible for implementing programs and coordinating program operations, including work assignments, performance evaluations, and issue resolution to ensure the delivery of quality services that meet program goals and standards.

A Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, social sciences, or other field directly related to human services; PLUS, four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of human services programs, including two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Must pass job-related tests.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
A valid Washington State Driver's License, unrestricted except as to vision, is required prior to appointment. Depending on the program assignment, applicants may be required to pass additional screening relevant to the position.

- Principles, practices, and techniques in area of assignment;
- Principles, practices and procedures involved in the planning, development, administration: budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation of such programs;

- Supervisory and personnel management procedures and practices;
- Use of applicable technology.
