About this Opportunity

The Regional Business Development Director is a key leadership position in Barnhart. The Regional Business Development Director has the unique role of connecting individual branches, within the regional Branch Network, to build high quality meeting and opportunity pipelines for the Sales Teams. The role will be responsible for:

  • Fostering Barnhart culture and communicating Company Values,
  • Leading Branches to success on generating Customer Pipelines necessary for Expanding Top Accounts,
  • Mentoring the Branch Teams through strategic collaboration and problem-solving.

The Regional Business Development Director reports to the Regional Director (RD). The RD provides counsel, access to team resources and performance accountability to lead the regional Branch Network to maturity and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and assist the regional Business Development team on contacting and qualifying customer contacts within identified accounts to:
    • Perform second level discovery to uncover concerns, needs, and opportunities.
    • Use virtual meeting technology to present Barnhart’s capabilities that address items uncovered in the discovery process.
    • Prospect and develop in-bound leads from Marketing streams.
    • Nurture customer relationships using a variety of outreach tools maintaining contact and developing customer understanding of Barnhart’s capabilities until they are ready to meet directly with Branch team member.
    • Manage all CRM activity relating to your sales processes.
    • Follow up with Sales team to insure complete and thorough customer hand-offs.
    • Connect with customers utilizing a variety of channels such as phone, email, social media, web-based tools & outbound calling programs.
Preferred Experience
  • Leadership: developing a team and building a strong aligned culture with the company mission statement and core values.
  • Financial: skills in leading your team to build a successful business plan and achieve success metrics.
  • Project Management: experience in construction and/or industrial industries.
  • Computer Software and Management Reporting: expertise in communicating metrics, processes, and enhancements.
  • Mechanically inclined and a proven track record of success in rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance, or transportation execution.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience.
