Job Overview

Essmann, a leading specialist in custom cabinetry, furniture, and millwork, is seeking a highly organised and dedicated Project Manager to join our team. Based in Washington, D.C., we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional craftsmanship and tailored solutions for a diverse range of clients, including corporate and church environments. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial client consultation to final installation.

You will ensure that every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality that our clients expect.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of custom cabinetry and millwork projects, ensuring all key milestones are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate effectively with design, production, and installation teams to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues that may arise to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks at various stages of the project to guarantee adherence to client specifications and company standards.
  • Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, cabinetry, or millwork industry.
  • A strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and software.
  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints is highly advantageous.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
