Job DescriptionThe Fabrication Assembler (FA) Level 1-3 is responsible for building custom, finished aircraft component parts based on unique, customer-specific design requirements. The environment emphasizes low repetition & high customization, requiring adaptability, craftsmanship, & attention to detail. Candidates thrive in a prototype & development environment with complexities ranging from Level 1 to Level 3.
Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble interior panels and assemblies according to precise, program-specific processes, managing multiple unique projects and ensuring each meets stringent quality and customization standards.
- Precisely trim, shape, and fit components to meet unique design requirements and adapt fabrication techniques to accommodate varying materials and design.
- Handle materials such as adhesives, resins, honeycomb core, carpet, fiberglass, and aluminum, cutting, laying out, and processing them.
- Install fittings like latches, hinges, and brackets, and prepare panels for adhesive application.
- Apply decorative finishes, perform complex bending and assembly using jigs and fixtures, and create high‑quality vinyl laminate layups tailored to project specifications.
- Operate shop power tools including routers, table saws, band saws, drill presses, pneumatic tools, rivet guns, and specialty grinders.
- Conduct visual quality checks, perform in‑process rework, and maintain records.
- Identify fabrication and assembly challenges proactively and develop effective solutions to maintain product integrity and schedule.
- Accurately interpret and adapt technical drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions to deliver highly customized, precision‑fit components.

- Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential.
- Tool proficiency with hand and power tools, including pneumatic tools, rivet guns, bucking bars, C‑squeeze riveters, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, and specialty grinders.
- Material expertise in aircraft interior fabrication materials such as adhesives, sealants, coatings, primers, solvents, paints, composites, and specialty finishes.
- Problem‑solving ability to diagnose and resolve fabrication issues.
- Safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Level 1: 0‑2 years experience preferred in a structural aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Level 2: 2‑5 years experience with proficiency interpreting, authoring, and executing assembly and component test requirements.
- Level 3: 5+ years experience with advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude, autonomous work on complex articles, and leadership in coaching lower‑level assemblers.

Annual Salary$37,800 – $71,890 annually
