Electrical Mechanic I
Key

- Use a variety of tools and equipment to assemble product according to required specifications and procedures, including electrical components, wire buildup, and wire routing in monuments.
- Ensure the quality of the product.
- Maintain tool accountability and shop area maintenance.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.

- Execute higher‑complexity work within the wire shop.
- Guide and mentor entry‑level employees.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for electrical modification/repair.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Use an ERP system such as Syteline.
- Perform all duties of Electrical Mechanic I with proficiency and consistency.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.
- Complete associated paperwork and job orders.
- Handle product, tools, and equipment with prudence.
- Perform complex connector terminations, including shielded and coaxial cables.
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety with testing instruments.
- Measure, cut, insert, and assemble electrical routing materials.
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities in a team environment.
- Use small hand crimp tools, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and applying terminal caps.
- Create, print, and apply wire labels.
- Route wire through panels, closets, and furniture, terminating both ends.
- Understand wire handling and routing instructions.
- Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, and job layouts to accomplish assigned work.
- Tie and close wire harnesses and cables according to standard processes.
- Provide daily status updates.
- Perform any other duties assigned by a senior electrical mechanic.

- Must be at least 18 years of age for all levels.
- All levels:
High School diploma or GED required. - Electrical Mechanic I:
Ability to read process specifications and documents such as D6‑54446; basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills. - Electrical Mechanic II:
Preferably 3–5 years of experience in aerospace electrical manufacturing; experience with Boeing and Airbus wire specifications; FAA A&P certificate desirable but not required. - Electrical Mechanic III:
Preferably 7 years of experience in aerospace electrical manufacturing; FAA A&P certificate desirable but not required.
(Levels 1–2)
- Effective oral communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure.
- Basic mathematical calculation proficiency.
- Understanding of customer expectations and ability to follow written procedures.
- Completion of associated paperwork.
- Physical endurance for prolonged sitting and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Testing of circuit continuity for electrical compatibility and safety.
- Measurement, cutting, and assembly of electrical routing materials.
- Interpretation of technical data, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installations.
- Team-oriented, participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Proficient use of small hand crimp tools, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Splicing wires by stripping insulation and applying terminal caps.
- Ability to distinguish between color spectra.
- Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
