Quality Inspectors Needed ASAP for Leading Aerospace Company in Portland, CT!
We are seeking dedicated Quality Inspectors to join our aerospace company in Portland, CT. As a Quality Inspector, you will be instrumental in upholding our rigorous standards, ensuring every detail meets the highest expectations. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality will make a significant impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Product Approval: Conduct thorough visual and measurement tests to confirm that in‑process and finished products adhere to specifications.
- Compliance Verification: Review purchase orders, special process certifications, operation sheets, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure complete compliance with all requirements.
- Dimensional Layout Inspection: Execute complex inspections based on operation sheets and blueprints to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Documentation: Complete Inspection Method Sheets and ensure special process certifications align with part specifications.
- First Article Inspection (FAI): Perform 1st piece/FAI inspections, with familiarity in Inspection Xpert/Net‑Inspect being a notable advantage.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a quality inspector in Aerospace, Medical, or a similar industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to analyze manufacturing methods and procedures, with a focus on GD&T.
- Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills combined with strong analytical and shop‑math abilities. - Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with layout tools is a plus.
- Weekly
Hours:
40-45 hours per week - Shift: 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM (We may have an early shift open, too)
- Employment Type: Full‑Time, On‑site
- Salary: 20-26 per hour, based on experience
- Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $1,500 after successful completion of a 90‑day introductory period
