Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is currently seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Washington.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to support the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of our rendering plant. This key leadership role will assist in driving production efficiency, safety, quality, and cost control while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in meat, beef, poultry, or pork rendering operations.

• Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing all daily plant operations, including raw material receiving, rendering processes, finished product handling, and shipping.
• Supervise and lead production teams, maintenance staff, and support personnel to achieve production targets, quality standards, and safety goals.
• Monitor and optimize rendering processes for beef, pork, poultry, and meat by-products to maximize yield, efficiency, and product quality.
• Ensure strict compliance with USDA, FDA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies, including HACCP, SSOPs, and environmental permits.
• Act as the Plant Manager in their absence.

• Minimum 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in a rendering plant or closely related meat/poultry processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (USDA/FSIS), environmental compliance, and OSHA safety standards would be a plus.
• Ability to work day shift with flexibility for occasional off-shift support during peak periods or emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
