Job Overview:
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation Range: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday‑Friday 6:00am‑2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday‑Friday 12:00pm‑8:30pm), 3rd shift (Sunday‑Thursday 10:00pm‑6:30am). Shift availability is determined by business needs and may change.
Job Summary:
ATop Coat Painter applies the final protective and cosmetic layer of paint to aircraft parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict industry standards for durability, corrosion resistance, and appearance. This role involves carefully preparing surfaces, mixing specialized coatings, and applying top coats with precision to support aircraft performance and longevity. By delivering a high‑quality finish that withstands extreme environmental conditions, atopcoatpainter helps maintain safety, reliability, and the professional presentation of aerospace products.
Responsibilities- Inspect details and evaluate the painting work required for the part.
- Effectively establish the correct paint for the application as flowed down by shop paperwork.
- Mix paints as specified by supplied directions or Technical Data Sheets.
- Prepare and perform minor sanding to detail surface before applying paint.
- Coat aluminum surfaces with the prescribed epoxy, lacquer, resin, or other material before applying the final color coat.
- Able to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
- Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
- Able to paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
- Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
- Change out of booth filter chromate and solvent‑contaminated paint booth filters.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in aircraft painting specific requirements (e.g., certifications, licenses).
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee, supplier, customer, and business‑related information and documentation.
- Successful completion of background check and drug test screening.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces (if applicable).
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or on call as needed.
