Responsibilities- Lead responsibilities across several manufacturing departments including potting and bonding, electrical, assembly and finish work.
- Teach, guide, oversees, and assist lower level technicians in their day-to-day work objectives.
- Plan, assist and direct work; provide input and assistance in the appraisal of employee performance; address and resolve technical work issues.
- Lead by example in daily communications and actions, being positive, influential, collaborative, and safety conscious.
- Teach, guide, oversee, and organize employees to complete the preparation of production units.
- Promote cooperation and positive communication with co-workers.
- Oversee day-to-day functions of an assigned department/work area by providing guidance and direction.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of employee work schedules.
- Coordinate efforts with other departments to complete products in a timely manner.
- Maintain an adequate supply of tools and hardware supplies.
- Assist supervisor/manager in planning the layout of the assigned work area.
- Audit the work area and enforce safety regulations to comply with OSHA and company requirements.
- Lift, position, and remove production units from machines or the assembly area.
- Keep production parts labeled and organized in the work area.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area is maintained within assigned manufacturing floors.
- Remain flexible to work throughout the production areas as needed.
- Perform final quality checks of work performed in the assigned area, before proceeding to quality.

- Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. - Experience:
5+ years of experience within a similar manufacturing environment. - Computer
Skills:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Other
Skills:
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; maintain safety regulations; interpret engineering drawings; use measuring equipment (tape measures, calipers); self-inspect work and correct discrepancies; operate pneumatic and hand tools; understand work orders; write reports and correspondence; MSDS proficiency; conduct effective meetings; meet training requirements. - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Available to assist in other areas of manufacturing as directed by management.
- Additional Preferred Skills (not required):
One (1) year of leadership experience;
Two (2) years' experience in a Zodiac/Safran manufacturing environment as a manufacturing assembler, lead, or related role. - Description:
