Manufacturing Technician I
BLR Aerospace, LLC, a Ducommun Incorporated company, has an immediate opening for Manufacturing Technician I. This is a full‑time, on‑site role in the Metro Everett/Seattle, WA area at our Everett, WA facility.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant production experience in aerospace structural assembly, with knowledge of thin sheet‑metal assemblies. The candidate must possess the skills and ability to set up, operate, and maintain handheld manufacturing equipment, and to follow and develop assembly processes.
Job Summary- Ensure accuracy, competency and efficiency when conducting tasks related to the work area.
- Follow work instructions and processes to meet the company's FAA‑approved Quality Management System.
- Perform quality checks, audits and inspections to ensure the quality of finished product, subassembly or installed components.
- Document production operations in corresponding records or log sheets per work instructions.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance procedures for equipment and the manufacturing area.
- Participate in continuous improvement of plant operations, supporting LEAN initiatives.
- Adhere to workmanship standards, policies and practices related to quality, cost reduction, safety, and ergonomics.
- Assist with developing and implementing new production methods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe environment throughout the facility.
- Follow EHS protocols, reporting all injuries or near misses immediately.
Skills and Qualifications
- High attention to detail and inventory management experience.
- Accuracy in part selection.
- Thin sheet‑metal working experience: drilling, riveting, trimming/cutting, countersinking, dimpling and assembly.
- Capability of standing for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Self‑starter with limited supervision, performing tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Quality-focused approach to accurate work.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of relevant production experience in aerospace structural assembly.
- 8‑hour shifts.
- Core hours:
Monday–Friday 7:00 am–4:00 pm. - On‑site warehouse/shop and office environment.
- Standard lunch and break periods.
- Environmentally controlled work area.
- Eye and ear protection provided.
Base Compensation: USD 22.33 – 26.79 paid hourly.
