Responsibilities
  • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand-held tools
  • Follow and help create layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings for installation.
  • Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
  • Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, etc
  • Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
  • Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production
  • Takes precise measurements
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary
  • Maintains inventory of completed products
  • Performs machine maintenance and minor repairs as necessary
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
  • Full time, single shift: 5 days/8 hours per day schedule: 7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday
    • Overtime work may be available for non-exempt employees
Requirements
  • Certification or training in millwrighting is a plus
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Proficient in math
  • Skilled with a variety of both small and large hand and power tools, overhead cranes, hoists, man-lifts, forklifts and related tools and moving equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail / attitude toward safety.
  • Team player
